1944 Finnish M39 VKT.
Bluing is 50-60% I'd say. Post war stock that is in very good condition. Very little scratches or dings. Tang date is 1905.
Receiver SN and bolt handle SN match, don't know the rarity of that but is a plus to me. Also got a sling too.
This was not a hand select, both me and my FFL were pretty surprised at what came out of the box. I'm very happy with it and I finally have my M39!
Believe me Rusko, that rifle video put a smile on my face. That is a dang beauty! I love the honest wear on the blueing, and the look is just great. That's a nice looking example of a post war stock and even the sling is a weathered brown, just like I like. Good for you buddy, even has a nice bore. About guaranteed to be a good shooter.
Thanks guys. I'm very happy that the luck of the draw gods smiled on me.
I've been wanting an M39 for awhile, it's a awesome add to the collection for sure. Thanks for the compliment on the vid. I kept the talking to a minimum because I hate the way I sound on video lol.
If the rain lets up I'll take her out this weekend for sure. The action is super smooth as is the trigger. Can't wait to see what she can do:)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
