It was a failed attempt to improve the bolt that is now a plus in collecting. I don't see where anybody has told you as yet. BUY IT AND BUY IT NOW!! We can tell you all the cool things it has when you have captured it and have it home.
Come on guys, ya'll are killing me!!!! What did I pick up? I know some things about it but what am I missing????? :? :o

Read these and pay attention to the yearly numbers produced. Bonus is that it's in an M27 stock. I've had a sportered M27 for three years and have yet to come across a proper stock for sale to put it in. For what you paid you did excellent. Probably a solid 350 dollar if not a little more rifle in my opinion.

Is this a war damaged stock? There are 2 splice repairs in the lower hand guard (looks like one fell out long ago) and several dowel repairs. I would love to know how the burn mark got there.

What is the best way to glue the upper hand guard back together? The picture doesn't show it but it is completely in half.
