I recently purchased this Hoban .22

Went to my local pawn shop looking for a small project to work on. Got this Hoban .22 for $40 OTD Following are before and after pics.

Nice project, but I only see a before pic :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

We took one of these Hoban .22's in at the shop and I ran the history on them. You could get one of these for selling cans of Cloverine Salve. You could find Cloverine ads in almost every comic book you bought back in the 50's. To the best I could find there were none in stores for sale, only selling Cloverine.

Back when people had good sense, I see.

Now I couldn't even get a yoyo like that.

Ha, I still have a can of that Salve, Like souped up Vasaline...Never had very many points...Interesting rifle..Who else has one to show??
