If I was MT iI wouldn't buy a lottery ticket, I'd be buying antiacid because I'd need that after waiting on that auction to end.
On Facebook? Check out the non-sporter preservationist group at: OOOPS. Deleted by Facebook because it's evil to even discuss collectible firearms on social media these days.

That's exactly the thought that I had the other day Ron, he got a free wish someplace, he could have won the super powerball $450,000,000 lotto or found the matching parts for his rifle, he picked the parts of course as any collector would do...right? I mean the alternative would be a mismatched forever rifle and a bunch of useless money.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

MT on the other hand has found a fortuitous way to fall in a pile of manure & come out smelling like a rose by finding the only acceptable scenario of swapping a correct part in our collecting venue. AbsaF@(%!nglutely amazing. :facepalm2:

On a side note, If he were wise he wouldn't waste any more money on the lottery... MT wasted all his good luck by finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow & it's in his gunroom. Is Tyme an Irish name??? :chuckles: :chuckles:

Thanks Rongo, I just spewed my beer all over my keyboard reading tis. :chuckles:

Dave, I was more nervous the first 5 days of the auction than the last 5 days

Of course the last 5 days I was down the marina making the folks @ Woodford Reserve very rich. Image

If you bought an Enfield with no magazine, would you leave it that way? What percentage of those do you think match anyway. Same goes for T-53 bolts.... :2cents: SBP

Having them set up the shots? Bit ironic, normally you're a great shooter, you didn't need their help!

Lets say I buys a Mk 1 # 4 , everything matches except of course, the mag. A couple yrs later I buy another and late one nite with an oily rag in one hand, I notice, the later has the mag that matches the one I've had two yrs. Am I gonna leave em like they are? Duh..... :bonk: Shit fire :soapbox: History vs. common sense? :2cents: .......SBP

MT, Dennis keeps exhaustive records and has helped me out in the past. I'd email him and ask him if both rifles passed through his hands. Probably not, as he gets his stock from the field. He may have some insight though based on how/when he acquired the one that he sold you.
