I have a 1927 91/30 and when I have 5 rounds loaded in the magazine, he interrupter is not keeping the next round depressed. When there are 4 or fewer rounds loaded, it works just fine.
Any suggestions?

Have you taken the action out of the stock to make sure that there isn't any dried cosmoline around the spring, or that the spring is possibly coming up against the stock? I've run across quite a few that someone had "adjusted" by bending the spring, which only made matters worse.

Re: Magazine interrupter not working with 5 loaded rounds.
Maybe I'm not reading this right but the fifth or top round won't be depressed (below the interuptor) when there's 5 rounds in the magazine. Four will be below the interrupter and the fifth will be above it. Or do you mean you can load four rounds and they go below the interrupter (and stay there) and when you load the fifth above them it allows the one below the interrupter to be released also hitting against the top round?

This right there. When four or fewer rounds are loaded, the interrupter works as designed, but when 5 rounds are loaded, the interrupter does not work and allows the round below the top round to release and hit the top round.WeldonHunter wrote:Maybe I'm not reading this right but the fifth or top round won't be depressed (below the interuptor) when there's 5 rounds in the magazine. What Mogunner was suggesting is something to check. The ejector and interrupter are connected and serve two different functions but being connected can effect each other. It's possible there's some crud under the interrupter or it's bent not causing it to not protrude far enough into the magazine well to hold the lower rounds down. As you push rounds down into the magazine they go past the ejector with the rim slightly depressing the ejector and also the interrupter. Have you tried just pushing down on the 5th round after it's in place (below the ejector) to see if the round below it goes below the interrupter and stays there? If you can post a picture like the one below we might see something out of place. The white arrow points to the ejector and the red one points to the interrupter.
