You bugger!
I was watching that and was going to bid on it towards the end. Congrats, it looks to be a really nice rifle.

Wow, what a beaut! Worth every penny, I'm sure.
Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers #29: ...if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little, if at all, inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rights and those of their fellow-citizens.

Congrads, to die for
Looks like it was hardly handled
Back in the late '60's while attending a NBC warfare school at a Seabee base they were marching around w/ pristine 03A3's
What do U think was going through this 0311's brain housing group?

Very nice, clean, clear example for your collection. Just the type I look for, since I usually just get on of things. Beautiful.

I have only seen one cleaner-ever. A unissued scratchless model owned by another member here and he paid a thousand bucks to get it. This was a rare opportunity here and you jumped on it! Congrats pgaplayerless.
Re: Diamond in the Rough: Unissued "US eagles" N.E.W Mosin M
Quite an anomaly, as well.
The U.S. Surcharged production did not begin until nearly 300,000 units after that one was built. I have only seen three or four others before the 1.165 million serial number with the U.S. Eagles. One even had a curved logo. Just theory, but these early production rifles must have been left over at NEW when the U.S. Gov't purchased the final order.
So aside from being quite nice, it is an extremely rare occurrence.

I bought a 1937 Tula Finn capture from this seller last week. His descriptions are very accurate.
