This store is selling this ammo... I figure its 54r ammo since its 440rds and not x39 ammo usually in 600rds can...
Looks Chinese to me... What can you guys tell me about this tin... He wants $100
I think the 53 refers to the Type 53, since 56 would refer to Type 56 which is 7.62x39. Bulgarian and Russian are going for $100 everywhere else, so I would buy it. I assume its 1951 production, so could be brass case in which you could sell the scrap and gets some cash back.

hmmm could be possible too since chinese type 53 is a mosin carbine... I did buy it but i dont wanna open it up lol... I wish someone can truly confirm what this is... I def know this is rare...
Rare maybe, depending on where you live. Chinese x54R is readily available on Canada, but if you are in the US then likely someone has had it a long time, like 20 something or more years maybe. We will identify it for you, just need a little time. How much was it? Oh, and where roughly do you live?
He said he thinks he has a lot left in his warehouse...why buy 2 if he has it?
He's an enabler
I's buy two because you can have one for each arm to work out with,or you could wear them for snow shoes,or use them for car ramps when you change your oil.
Gotta have more them one when the zombies come.

Good sarcasm but a waste of time on your part... Looking for info on here...
I don't think there is any other info to be had? It is definitely 54r caliber, made for the type 53 as noted on the can. $100 isn't a bad price for the current market conditions. Especially if that is $100 OTD.
