Range Trip Today.

Post by vblue42 »

Went to the range today with fellow forum member paul6892. Fired my new '44 VKT M39 for the first time today. Also shot my Polish '51 M44. Had a ball. Paul's behind the camera.

Very nice! How did the M39 do? What ammo were you using in the M44? I noticed 2 rounds were missing the M44 fireball. Wish I could be shooting in short sleeves. Still lots of snow and cold up here.
Don't shoot that antique rifle! You could put an eye out!!

The plus of an indoor range is that you can shoot during the bad weather.

I have a membership to one range, it only has two rifle lanes and they are only 25 yards. However, a plush country club style shooting club opened up recently, they have four rifle lanes and they extend to 100 yards.

Down here in Texas you don't worry about the cold, though it's unpleasant, you really worry about sweating so much you cant see the rear sight.

I noticed the lack of fireballs for two rounds too. Still too much snow up here too and it's going to -16 tonight.

Lack of flash for some rounds is normal for any firearm. At least that's what I've always noticed.
