First Russian sks!!!

Post by VKT1941 »

I traded for my first sks and it was a Russian! I traded a Clinton era Wasr-10 for it plus some other goodies. I'm very glad that I'm now the proud owner of a Russian sks :D

Nice. My one and only SKS is a 54 Tula. Having it, I never really felt the need for another.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I did make a video of it and for some reason it's not only missing from my playlist on youtube, but from my memory as well. I could swear I hadn't touched that rifle since 2006, I don't remember making the video, cleaning the rifle before that, or putting it away afterward. Worse yet I haven't stumbled over it sitting about someplace recently. Total blank, now I have to wonder what else is lost in the memory.

 Same thoughts here on the Russian Tula, I have had multiple SKS rifles from all over, all I kept was the Russian Tula, nothing else really seemed to measure up.
