PU scope, elevation adjustments in MOA

Post by emcon5 »

Back in 2011 Shotgun news had an article on PU scopes, because Numrich Gun Parts had a bunch to sell. Included in that article was a chart showing the adjustment in MOA for each number on the elevation turret. I kept it, and put it in a safe place, but I have moved twice since then, and have no idea where that safe place may be. I have Googled a few times trying to track down at least the drop table, and came up empty. That is, until this morning. Evidently I found the right combination of search terms, and came up with the article, unfortunately without the photos, but with the drop chart included.

Here is the article:
http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Soviet+sc ... 0248906855

And the important bits from the end:
The BDC is calibrated for a 148-grain projectile with a BC of approximately .363 running at approximately 2800 fps

BDC adjustment range

Number on Elevation Turret 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Movement in MOA 0 3.2 6.5 10.2 14.4 20 25.5

Number on Elevation Turret 8 9 10 11 12 13
Movement in MOA 33 42.6 54 67 83 101
Here it is again with the formatting fixed.

1, 0
2, -3.2 MOA
3, -6.5 MOA
4, -10.2 MOA
5, -14.4 MOA
6, -20 MOA
7, -25.5 MOA
8, -33 MOA
9, -42.6 MOA
10, -54 MOA
11, -67 MOA
12, -83 MOA
13, -101 MOA

Thought you guys might be interested.
