Thumbs up to Copes Distributing

Post by Loditrapper »

Just want to give a report on the excellent service I got from Copes. I put my order in Monday, and 26 hours later it's at my FFL holders. I bought their 91/30 and spam can deal, $199. And I'm one of the guys that snatched up the shipment of Romanian m1969 .22 trainers they got in. I was expecting a beater Mosin. I mean, c'mon, a can of ammo AND a 91/30 for that price? But I received a very clean 1938 Izhevsk, matching (force matched bolt) with an excellent bore. Bayonet doesnt fit, and no sling, but a beautiful rifle. The Romanian trainer is in good shape, made in 1984, a nice little rimfire. I'm really happy with what I got, and if I wasn't, I'd tell you. Thanks, Copes.

$130. Good shape, a few dings in stock. If it's half as accurate as the Norinco JW-15 I bought years ago, it'll be killing squirrels and tin cans decades from now. Good solid rifle, all steel and wood.

Nice to hear about Copes.

I could use a good cheap .22 (or two) too.

That 199 deal is what my LGS had when I got started collecting. I was buying at least one a week. Good to hear someone else is doing the same. Anyone know if Copes is a walk-in store? I live just under 2 hours from them.
:bravo: on the deal.
But you know what they say...... :worthless:

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
