I shoot on private ranges, no bullshit, no distractions.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Coworker of mine who likes guns ( also a very good machinist, he could be dangerous if he wanted ). Told me he was going to Gander Mountian to see if they still had " 7.62x54R bolt action rifles " for $200. I told him, he was talking about Mosin Nagants and that I had 2 of them. He was talking about how they can be modified to take a scope so easy and that the ammo is cheap. I don't think he knew that they are Milsurps since he is a total Civil war reenactment enthusiast, and changed his tone when I told him what they were.. Also told him not to buy a Molot from GM for $200 unless it was a hex or special markings as best as I could explain.. He's a bit ill informed on guns actually, as he told me he gave up his SKS before the SAFE act was signed as he was told it would have been illegal in NY when he moved from NJ. I guess he had a nice Russian SKS with the flip out bayonet

He gave up a gun he already owned because of government bullshit?

That's just not going to work!

I guess he was told that it would be illegal in NY since it had a 20rd fixed magazine. I guess he sold it before he moved, and I've known him for 4-5 years I guess... But even with the SAFE act, it would still be perfectly legal to own an SKS in that configuration..Junk Yard Dog wrote:He gave up a gun he already owned because of government bullshit?
