I should have mentioned that a case/880 rounds of the Romanian is $159.50 and it was $26.00 shipping ($185.50 shipped).
Less expensive than I can buy locally...it's anywhere from $100-$130 local.

I would gladly give you $85 for your 1500 rounds so you can start a new stash

The edge is folded over. I found the easiest way was to grind off the top edge. If you don't have a grinder (or don't want to grind on it) then a flat file works with more effort. Brute force hammer and chisel/screwdriver works too.
And i just ordered a box of "Chinese 7.62x54R, 20 rounds per box, 400 rounds per case. Copper washed steel case, berdan primed, corrosive surplus ammunition" from SFRC (www.theammosource.com).
$99.95 CDN
Regular $149.95... so 33% off
It's coming by UPS and I should have it by Jan. 15.
It shoots well in my '34 Tula MN and my '43 Tula SVT-40.

Yep, you only get an opener if you order 2 cans, they're available on ebay for not much money if you really want one. I'd just go ahead and order another two cans though, you'll need them fairly soon.

That site has Russian SKS`s for $389, but wait there's more! You also get 1320 rounds of ammo with it. A Russian SKS is $500 here.
These posts get me all fired up to go out and get some more. Then, I go down to the cave and see what I have and think, how will I ever shoot 9000+ rounds. Just a matter of time though...
