Re: lets see your mosin nagant fireballs
After reading this thread I decided to take my Type 53 to the local indoor range (which happens to be right around the corner) and have someone film me blowing a big fireball. My timing was bad however since I ended up being the only person there, so I asked if I could turn off the lights. They didn't care but then I still had a problem getting the shot. Plus, it was hard to see the target and hitting any of the cables or hangers could cost me $60. SOOO, I changed my mind and shot 10 rounds just for jollies.
I'll try it again when my buddies are there next week....

I was never so shocked as the first time I shot my T53. All I could see was a white sheet of flame and my son came running over saying "did you see that "
He took a video to show his mom when we got home.

I was paper punching with a m38 and the guy on the next bench gave me a "WTF" look and moved to another bench. He was "shooting for group" as he said. Personally his target looked like a shotgun pattern sheet . He complained at our next club meeting and I was asked whet I was firing. I fessed up and half the club started laughing at the complainer and the other half said " A what? A old rifle? some unsafe piece of Commie junk!" That's when one of the old timers stood up and said " I fire original Blackpowder firearms made of steel and wood, not that plastic crap you boys with them Mattie Mattel specials with them mouse fart rounds" At that point the whole meeting went to hell and we adjoured and opened the bar.Jbob wrote:I was never so shocked as the first time I shot my T53. Stayed late at the range just to do this.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Nice pictures and videos! I don't have any of my Mosin or rifles. Might try to get a pict of the little S&W Shield 9mm. Puts out a pretty good fireball for a pocket pistol.
