A patron of my shop ordered six and they came in today.

In the mix of Molots:
5 Izhevsk
1 Tula

1 Tula was a 1933 Hex DDR
1 1938 Izhevsk DDR
1 1942 Izhevsk DDR
2 plain jane 1938 Izhevsk
1 plain jane 1942 Izhevsk

For 89.99 a pop just cant go wrong with those

Just curious, pre-war, wartime or post-war stocks?

Maybe it is just me, but It seems like there are more pre- and wartime stocks on the latest batch of Molot processed rifles. Cabela's had ~20 rifles in the rack, all round receivers, and over half had wartime or pre-war stocks.

Most of my attention was on the receivers, but just from handling I would agree and say they were mostly wartime and the minority being pre-war stocks

What was the shipping charge? My only purchase from Classic was some ammo when I first started, and their shipping charge seemed a bit high.

My 2 were a '39 & '42 both Tula's.
The '39 definitely had a late war time as it only had a 1/2 escutcheon in the front and nothing in the rear stock;
whereas the '42 had full escutcheons "press ins" w/out the screws.
Nice machining aka no tool marks present, whereas one of my other ones a '42 Izhevsk shows the tool marks.
Just illustrates the randomness of the assemblers wherever they refurbished them picking parts from the piles
just like the Finn's did.

The shipping on the 6 pack was pretty cheap, around $40. It was probably at least $20 to ship one rifle and the price just didn't go up that much for each additional.

I'm curious if their black Friday special was actually not picked through like they claimed. They said if you bought a 6 or 12 pack you were getting them just like they got them straight from the importer. They also said they weren't taking special requests but I've seen posted here and other places that they did end up taking special requests. So I'm a little suspicious that the 6 and 12 packs weren't just random rifles but picked through ones.

The 1st was a non-hand select and definitely shows the wear & tare of not being packaged correctly. Like J&G does routinely and unfortunately. AKA,like they have been thrown down the stair well.
Whereas the 2nd hand select definitely had less wear & tare on the wood.
The 3rd 1944 M44 Tula is a "eyes to be hold" double packaged and outstanding shape for bore & wood.
These were all purchased for shooters, as I can't bring myself to think about shooting the '20 & '30's Hex's from the Ukraine hoard. I just want to rub them w/ oil. and fondle them gently.

It was the importer that through them down the stairwell, having worked in a large gunshop I've checked in 500 rifles at a time scuff marks nicks and scratches are how most arrive, it's just the way it is.

I just ordered one Black Friday and did Ok. 1943 Tula ex-sniper with a nice trigger and great bore. Plan to clean it this weekend.
