What's Your Best Purchase Of 2013?
Re: What's Your Best Purchase Of 2013?
Nice one Timber, I really like the stock on that one. Looks like its a DDR also? Of all my rifles I don't have a single matching bayo. Not counting electro penc.

Re: What's Your Best Purchase Of 2013?
We had some really nice looking rifles added tot he forums this year. I like to see more of them (including the refubished rifles). They were a bunch of fun too!
It was hard for me to pick this year, I bought 6 rifles and three stand out. A SAMCO sniper and a M39 Tikka, and a M19/38. But the best "deal" for me was the Tikka at $200

I'll follow the lead of some others and post a different rifle on this side.
Hate to torment Des, but he was able to score this rifle for me from an acquiantance based off a verbal description. Took a small gamble because of the great price and scored. Neither he or I saw the rifle before hand. If for some reason I ever need to part ways with it it goes back to Des.

On Facebook? Check out the non-sporter preservationist group at: OOOPS. Deleted by Facebook because it's evil to even discuss collectible firearms on social media these days.

I was a VERY happy man when this auction item slipped passed the "others" and fell into my lap.
It is a 1944 TIKKA M91/30 with a Round Receiver
, new Tikka barrel
and a M27 stock
. A wonderful example of Finnish re-use. ![thumbsup ](./images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I posted my P-26 on the other board, so here I'll go with my $200 Sestroryetsk (included a bayonet and 300+ rounds of ammo).

TulaTom, that Sestroryetsk is absolutely gorgeous! I'm hoping that next year one of those will find its way into my safe. Very nice rifle!

Tiberium, very nice red letter. As a matter of fact all you guys are getting me stirred up. There is a lot of nice hardware here for sure. Since I am all stirred up I thought I would cheat and post a second rifle. Non matching Hungarian m44. I love it too much.![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Thanks, Lotema. Keep your eyes peeled and one might turn up. I'm on the hunt for a Chatellerault.
