M38 Sniper?

Post by berkmberk1 »

I'm not really up on the subject.........am just familiar with the 91/30 version. I was "shopping" on Gun Broker and ran across this........http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=**********. Is this for real, or did someone just ad a sniper scope to this particular rifle? I've never heard of one.

No it's a humped together rifle with a reproduction scope. It's also an active auction and we don't post links to them while they're still ongoing in case someone on the board is watching it. In this case it really doesn't matter because no one should buy this rifle and reward the seller for ruining an otherwise nice rifle.

It's called a BUbba rifle, some asshole Bubba drilled holes in a M38 and mounted a scope on it. Remember this when you are wondering why you can't find a nice original M38, and when you do the price is over $300.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Please no links to live auctions on the board, lets not give this Bubba any free advertising.

That's because they don't exist. It's a shame someone had to mess that M38 up.
