I have had the Ruger Old Army since sometime in 90 or 91? I don't know why a previous owner drilled holes in the hammer to skeletonize it. Perhaps to lighten it but why? Maybe he just liked it. It didn't stop me from giving him 225.00 for the revolver and a leather possibles bag with flask and accessories. My latest acquisition is my biggest weakness. No way I can say no to a Ruger Vaquero (old model) 45LC with a color case frame. 7.5" barrel and shoots surprisingly similar to the black powder revolver, but with much less smoke! I know the cap and ball has lower velocity, but they have similar recoil and accuracy. I can guarantee you one thing. The Old Army is as accurate or more so than the Cowboy load. I don't know who their momma is, but their daddy is definitely Ruger.

I like em both sizes, but I'd like to know what others think. Perhaps the 320x240 medium fits most screens better?
