That is a very good score  fairly rare year and very collectable, can you start a new post over in the collectible mosin nagant section? Some of the more seasoned collectors can give you a better rundown on it.

I'll do that, thank you for the suggestion!!!

Hi everybody! I used to post here some back when Bob was running the show. Kinda got away from collecting for a while but getting back into it. Been reading the board for couple months and decided it was high time I started to contribute.

Alrighty then!! Hello folks, my name is Jim. I am learning and researching to purchase my first Mosin Nagant. I am really looking for this. Hopefully I will get to shoulder one at a gun show this weekend. It seems looking for a Mosin is like looking for "a fish". Which one? What size? How big? :)

Welcome to the board, good luck at the show, be sure to do some homework on the board main page so you will be able to pick out the various types of Mosins. The link to the info page is on the board index

Welcome to the forum. You have a 1943 Izhevsk, refurbed M91/30 in a late/post war stock with a toe splice and a Tula Bolt handle. You may want to make a post in the main Mosin Nagant forum. This is just the welcome to the forum thread and not everyone looks in here.

Well, I made it here...looking forward to learning more about these rifles. I suspect their addictiveness must be a Communist plot or something.

The Russians knew a thing or two about awesome rifles and vodka . We will talk much of the rifles :vcool:
