Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Hello My name is Eric though you will know me as armed hiker.

I started being interested in surplus guns with a 1943 M44 I picked up in 2008. Friends were talking them up and I was in a shop where they had a rack of them. I just looked them over and grabbed the one that felt right. I did not know what I bought until I got home and started researching the Mosin. That's when the fun began.

Hi all Got two Mosin Nagants 91/30's. Nothing collectable just a 1931 and 1938 Izzys.
The 31 has a laminated stock and the 38 is a regular rearsenal stock.
Nothing special, except the 38 I can get 2" groups at 100 yards with stock sights.
The 31, well thats another story. I am in the process of shiming the reciever to get tighter groups than 7" at 100 yards.
I probally will be here watching all these beauties that you guys are collecting, and reading all the tech stuff that you guys do to make um shoot better.
Thanks for letting me be here

:welcome3: to the forum 41_Tula, I hope you're not joking about the 41 Tula :Drool1: thats a pretty hard year to find. There's collectors on here that would give a leff knut for that rifle. Please post up some pics over in the main mosin section when you get a chance. Congrats  :vcool: :vcool:

That is a very good score  fairly rare year and very collectable, can you start a new post over in the collectible mosin nagant section? Some of the more seasoned collectors can give you a better rundown on it.
