This just arrived from Wideners, I am very happy with it. I heard about these a few weeks ago and by the time I placed my order, I was concerned that they would be sold out. I think my order was one of the last ones as they were sold out an hour after mine went through. Not bad for $169.00, thanks Wideners! I have been wanting a nice, simple, easy to use single shot .22 for teaching new shooters and this fills the bill nicely.
Yes, this is a 1950. Wideners had them for just a day or two, then they sold out. I have been looking for a well crafted single shot .22 and when these came up. I pounced. Not bad for $169.00, huh?
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Very nice That one has a fairly light stock, mine has a very dark wood. They are accurate and fun to shoot, my daughters love mine and will burn through some ammo if I don't keep a very close eye on them. Also, I had no idea they cost that much now, they are still worth it in my book
I said I was an addict. I didn't say I had a problem.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

There was a group of us over on Calguns that all ordered these and the variations on the stock color and patterns were pretty interesting. A few got lucky and ended up with Tiger striped wood and I saw a few that were pretty dark, but it seems as if all of them were in pretty nice shape.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
That is very nice , congrats! I wish I would have known about these as I just picked up a new CZ 452 Military Trainer and can't wait to get it out to the range.
Thought I would update with a new image I took yesterday under four flashes. The wood is actually a bit less orange than in my original pictures, I would say this image is more like that the wood looks like in person. Have put a few hundred rounds through this since my original post. Great gun, I wish Wideners would get some more of these but they have not since I bought mine in 2013.
