It is not as good a photo but check the October 2013 American Rifleman (page 96) in their article "Where Will We Bury Them All" Finnish Arms Of The Winter War. The sniper 's rifle appears to be the same as in your photo.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Thank you, the PU mount is the one I see most often, I wasn't sure what this was.

Don't know if you've seen this Mike but it's got a lot of pictures of the different types of Sniper Rifles, including the PE and PEMs. information/sniper_section/index.html

Cool! I've never really researched snipers because I've never really been in the market for one, maybe I should learn more about them in case I find one in a pawn shop or at a yard sale.

And I was going to with the smartass reply:

His name: Vlad
Age: 29-ish
Hobbies: Target shooting, marching in formation when not at war, defending the motherland from the Nazi's and drinking
Likes: Long moonlight walks along the Volga, smoking and really good vodka
Dislikes: Skinny women, laughing
Where he sees himself in 5 years: Collective Farm manager/slum lord or politburo member.
Sign: Taurus (or sickle)
Favorite color: OD Green
His ideal woman: Enjoys arm wrestling, anywhere from 5' to 5'5", wide child bearing hips, able to gut deer without having a hissy fit, drive a tractor and weigh at least 250 lbs.

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. It was a soft ball pitch...

The mosin PE sniper picture seems to be quite distorted? The finger groove and and rear handguard as well as the forend just don't look right, maybe it is that the pic. was blown up?

I have one that was sold to me as a Finn sniper, but after my research, I don't believe it is. Photobucket is under maintenance :vconfused: and I can't access my pictures. If you PM me your email, I'll email you pics of it.

Let me know if you want others, but like I said, I don't think it is real.
