Crate of Laminate M44s at LGS...
Crate of Laminate M44s at LGS...
Was in my favorite local shop yesterday. They had a full crate of 15 "select grade" laminate stocked M44s. Rifles had RGuns tags on them. Came with all accessories. Looked fabulous, but I did not remove any from the crate at the time.
It is being sold as a full crate only. $3,000 +tax.
Deal / investment worthy? Rip off? I did not have time to inspect for dates or Mfg, so assume typical 1944 Iz.
Thoughts?

I assume you want these for resale. If so, count me in on one. But if they are Molots, then pass.Jolly Green Chopper wrote:Please!! I see one or two that may be laminated. But most look like normal stocks. Maybe its my bad eyes.

The iPhone photo is not that great. There may be one or two that are NOT laminate, but from my brief inspection, most of them are.
Re: Crate of Laminate M44s at LGS...
If they're RGUNS they probably aren't Molots and would probably get you a few extra dollars a piece. You probably couldn't count on getting more than $250 a piece for them though. Check out the completed auctions on gunbroker, the occasional one gets up to $300 but some are under $200.

And strike while the iron is hot, because it seems MG prices have finally started to moderate post "the scare".bocephus wrote:If they're RGUNS they probably aren't Molots and would probably get you a few extra dollars a piece. Sounds like a good deal. Even if you save them for another year you can definitely make your money back.

If anyone wants a better image, I can email a zoom able pic of the above. I'm not going to be able to swing the purchase.

This thread answers a question I have had for several years. I have wondered if the M44's came in a crate, but never got a answer or found a picture. Look at the perfect fit of the shorter crate. Thanks for posting that excellent picture.
