The bolt on the right doesn't have the checkered pattern all the way around. Is this just a variation? Early bolt part? Late? I couldn't find the answer anywhere else online and I knew you guys would know.

By the way, I will never, ever, ever, ever alter any of my Mosins. That would be like putting a bra on a Sphinx. Maybe a stir stick on the front sight, but that's it. I hope cleaning doesn't count against me.

Better **** well not because I cleaned all of mine Dents, dings, scrapes, or no finish I expect, even like the look of, but filth I will not abide. Bad for the rifle, bad for my clothing.
