Tula m38?

Tula m38?

Someone is trying to sell one locally he has duplicates. I don't know the year but is 600 high?

I'd say they are pretty rare but I don't know about $600 rare. I think the 1940 has fewer than the 1944. But I haven't seen one or a price before.

Matters.... Is it a 1940 with an [SA] stamp? I would buy that ASAP. :devil2:

Before I did anything I would find out if it was one of the recent Molot M38's. In any case 600 is rather high.

The guy said he bought them all when they were cheap and plentiful so I know its not new, he won't have pics for several days to let me see though:/

Never buy the story, buy the firearm. People, believe it or not will lie to make a buck. Check out all the stamps and markings.

Look for an older import mark on the barrel.

He says theyre marked under te barrel not on the side of the reciever

That's a great price onvthe svt these days. High for the m38? Last Tula m38 I saw sell just a while ago went for $400ish. But check for the SA mark. Makes a huge difference

personally im thinking id rather have the svt:/ unless the m38 is crazy special which he hasnt told me the year

Just hold tight & wait to see what they are like. One can always give an offer in a respectful manner... You never know if a phone call comes a few months later with an acceptance or even a counter offer. :wink:

look at the sold ones on GB and you will see they all sold for under $400 with most under $300.

Did you get this lead from the add you placed?

If you are not interested in the svt40, I may be.
