i am a new member on here but have been collecting for a little while and i have a serious question about a chinese type 53 i recently picked up...i took the butt plate off and was looking at markings and noticed lo and behold...a swastika... no crap stamped into the upper right portion underneath the butt plate...whats going on? im sure u can understand my confusion with why its on a chinese t53 carbine...any help would be greatly apprecieated thanks...

Pictures. The swastikas were gone 8 years before the T53 was made. Unless it was a mid war Russian stock that someone replaced the Chinese one with. Anything is possible with old milsurps.

According to Wiki, Swastikas have been used in various ancient civilizations around the world including China, Japan, and India. As suggested, Pictures would be best.

hitler also belived in injecting feces into himself and was a vegetarian..not trying to offend anyone....but i like my cow....and he was a tad off...of course he was also a dictator killed a few millon people...etc lol just ure average everyday guy haha ...maybe not...

Not everybody takes the buttplate off. BTW it was also a fovored Navajo symbol.

There's actually a long thread on another forum about that mark. I can't find it now, its was a month it do ago. Mine doesn't have one.
