Actually, meth or whatever they called speed was illegal in Germany even before WWI. Hitler secretly had scientists cooking up, "vitamins", for him and had a special vitamin doctor inject him daily. She attempted suicide several times supposedly due to his lack of attention to her. Stupid, empty headed moron, the man looked and sounded like a prick, the people closest to him found him socially awkward and just peculiar. It worked in our favor as the man slept past noon, couldn't be disturbed even for critical decisions, he did more to lose Germany the war than the D Day invasion. Oh boy, you have some researching to do, the history of the Soviet Union during the Stalin period is a huge part of world history. The events of that time effect your life today. WW2, the Cold War, the Terror. Stalin was a megalomaniac with paranoid delusions who happened to be the absolute leader of the USSR after Lenin's death. He was responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of people in the USSR. He was obsessed with the idea that his political enemy's were plotting to kill him, he would order the deaths of people he even slightly suspected might move against him, in time his NKVD began to preemptivly murder people and then report to Stalin that they had eliminated enemies of the state. It was a terrible time to be a Soviet citizen.
