I was kind of wondering how relevant the drag test was, and after spending a little time looking at some of their other "masterpieces", about the only thing I see as beneficial, were some of the mosin "How To's". But past that, I dunno. I wonder if they could be held liable if someone repeated the same tests and got hurt or worse?

Damn. That looks like a wartime issue. No red shellac on that one. I think they have a wall hanger now. Poor rifle didn't deserve that.

Note to dudes, next time you go to the fields for a gun test take more than a piece of 2x4 to use as a hammer. :chuckles: bone heads.

No it didn't deserve it, this seems to be a gunshop using youtube videos to advertise their business.

I kinda like the videos,It makes me feel better about my incident. But in all seriousness he said he put the gun together from parts so I see no harm done,at least he's not chopping up the rifle.

A piece of history is still a piece of history built from spare parts or not, and they ruined one for no good reason at all.

It goes to show just how strong the Mosin receiver is; and to think in it's day, because it was a split receiver, it was look down upon as inferior to the Mauser actions. Kind of sad, wasting good stuff like that though. :|

Interesting video - although sad to see that rifle put through that by these guys. By the time he fired the last two loads I was firmly on the rifle's side, and when the action held with the last load I think I actually cheered out loud that it was able to stand up and fight.

To the AR guys I am always around that call these numerous bad names, I would like to see their pieces function that reliably and hold up - even if they are ruined internally. I shoot 18 gr 2400 with cast and double check to avoid double charges. A double would have been less than what those guys put through there. Like to see that out of some of these supposedly superior rifles around today!

Well i guess we know how tough a mosin is and anything surplus you can buy won't hurt it. Did feel sorry for the mosin though, not right seeing it put through that...... :vsad:

You see a couple of advertisements that you can't skip out of in a few seconds? These assholes get paid every time you sit through the commercial.

OK, Wyatt and I just sat through these things. Wyatt says" Dad, those guys are dorks!" I wholeheartedly agree. Interesting to see how strong a Mosin is. But they could of used a new made Molot.

What the heck was the point of the videos? It's common knowledge that M-N can take pretty much anything you shovel into it. Dynamite proof design. No need proving any of that. And yes, it's been through mud, sand, snow and blood of WWI and WWII and had no issues whatsoever. There was absolutely no need to sink that rifle in mud or creek to prove any of that either.

Stupid videos by well-you name it- people.

To pull you in so you watch the video and they get a small kickback for the commercials.

Place hands on table and slam with maul, that should put paid to any more irresponsible videos, and launch them on a self help video kick, how to wipe ones ass with two busted hands.
