Look what I found for sale on an auction site.

Post by ModelAUZI »

It has a price of 24.99? It looks like it just needs a little oil.

Another undocumented dug up artifact? Out of Ukraine? Probably legit this time as it would cost them at least twice the asking price to acquire a bolt for aging. :) Gonna take you some time to clean that up.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Be interesting to know where it came from. Thinking back on the Three Line Rifle video I wonder if the bolt was lost or deliberately removed to disable the rifle.

Aw, c'mon guys. These are parts from tough old guns. Slip it into the rear of the bolt channel, slam it home, and lock it down. After a couple of discharge concussions, remove it and blow out the crud. Good to go!

:D
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Hey, thats my bolt, I shot a hand full of corrosive ammo and I forgot to clean it. :big laugh: Thank goodness for noncorrosive, it shouldn't happen again. :chuckles:

I have been tempted by some of that stuff as well. There were some ersatz bayonets that I was interested in until I saw several sell that looked nearly identical. Someone recently paid a nice sum for a "Leningrad" blade bayonet; if I thought that was was real, I would have bid hard on it.

I think if you cleaned it there would be nothing left.

This is what happens when you fail to clean your bolt properly after shooting corrosive ammo :)
