Hi I'm Martin. 55 years old with my first Mosin (a sniper). I started looking at milsurp rifles when ammo for my AR went through the roof. Now that I've discovered the wonderful world of these great guns, I'm shopping for an M1 Garand for my next purchase.

Hi Martin, I am wanting one too, but talk about through the roof. 30/06 in a semi auto can quickly clean out the check book.

The M1 is one rifle worth paying the ammo fee for.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
