Sorry for all the pics, but I like pics.

As for the rifle, its a very nice piece. Its bolt is butter smooth to operate. The wood has very nice grain, the pics don't do it justice and I will get some day light shots. The gunshop guy said it was a 9/10 in his book one of the best he's seen, and I would like to agree but it had some marring on the stock under the bolt. And some rash on the back of the stock which didn't bother me as much as the marring of the wood. I'd give it a 7.5 to 8/10 Its much nicer than the big 5 CAI 91/30 I got a few weeks ago though by far. It came with an oiler, tools and a bayonet. No sling:( Bore is excellent, nice and shiny with strong rifling. Did I say that the marring on the stock really bugs me......I want to touch up the gouges with a qtip and some russian shellac, but alas I have no russian shellac.

The numbers basically match with the exception of the magazine floor plate with the struck out SN, and the new one struck in....but i'm ok with that.

Its imported by PW arms international out of Richmond VA if I remember correctly. It was packed in a light oil?? Thought it would be cosmo'd but there was only a hint of it in the eyelets for the sling. It was slippery though and I almost dumped it on the kitchen floor doing my first inspection lol.

Not a bad purchase for 189 in my book.
Thanks for looking:)

Mine is at my FFL and can pick it up today after the 7 day wait period. Very happy to see the AIM offerings were in such good shape and will post pics as well. Really nice rifle. Be sure to post a range report.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Very nice! I love the wood grain as well. I ordered a laminated stock M44 from AIM, hopefully I get mine next week. It was the first "dealer" purchase I used my C&R for.

You and me both! I can't believe how I made one purchase using the C&R and over the following week and 1/2 I end up with 4 more Mosins... 3 in the group buy and 1 additional through this forum. If the group buy would have come first I wouldn't be ending up with two additional M44's. Good thing I think they are my favorite so far. --Though I don't own a 91/59 or M38 yet...

OP - Let us know how she shoots!! :popgun:

Very nice! I called AIM and asked if I could get a hand select for the bore. They were quite emphatic with their NO!!!! I passed on buying it. BTW...AIM is completley OUT OF STOCK of their M44s. :vsad:

Don't worry about quantity. You'll find with a C&R the only thing that controls your purchases is how much money you have in the bank................and of course your credit card limits

You will never get a supplier to handpick a bore. Could you really trust, Jose the stock boy, with a bore light?
