Only took me 3 weeks to receive it in the mail, but I don't think that's typical. Still much better than a pistol permit in this state

What state you are from has no bearing on the time it takes. The applications go to a desk and are reviewed as they come in. If that desk isn't real busy chasing down somebody's record they go through faster. This is what i was told by a person that worked at one of these desks. It usually takes about 2 months.

ok cool, I'm guessing there's probably more people than usual applying only because there are generally more people buying guns right now so I'm counting on 3 months...if it's less that would be great....as long as it's here before summertime I'll be happy

You can still go to your local gun shop and pay the transfer fee to get that M44, M44's vanish from stock quickly these days.

Bit soon to hear back with the current rush going on, but they will get to you, check your credit card to see if it's been charged yet.

Thought I would resurrect this old thread. I ordered my C&R 03 FFL on November 27 (Application mailed) and received my license in the mail today, December 21. 24 days seems reasonable to me. I am going to break the bank! HA! HA! HA! M44, M39, M91, M38 here I come! :D

Don't forget new FFL holders, do not sign your original copy of the FFL, you make copys and sign them instead.
