Thanks redspoon. I got a call yesterday from Steve. He has had a chance to shoot it. Said he really enjoyed it and was able to keep sagebrush well dusted at 800 yards with it. As luck would have it, a friend of his gave him a spam can of rusky ammo with 400 rounds left in it. So he's a "Mosineur" now. It makes it good when you hear how much someone appreciates what you gave them and how much they enjoy it. And helping someone have a brighter day out of many dark days....well....just make you have a brighter day too.

Just 2 Mosins, both Izhevsk 91/30's. I've had a hex 1932 for about a year. Today I bought a 1943 wartime round receiver and put it up on the shelf for a rainy day...

Excellent idea :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
