...and because rifles were requested:
How about a straight barrel SIG M24 with about the lowest Civil Guard unit number you're gonna ever run across

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Not a big fan of the M39 bayonets (boring ), but I LOVE Puukkos!!!! That's a nice one, shmlnaaa. But I must say that new undated M28/30 has me VERY jealous! That one has been on my very short list for quite awhile!! I'd definitely love to see more pics when you can.shmlnaaa wrote:My M39 bayonet next to one of my puukkos.

Metal is in good shape. Unfortunately, some nitwit polyurethaned the stock :(
Citristrip. It will remove the polyurethane without changing the wood underneath.

It has been on mine for quite a while too. I plan on trying to collect M28/30's by date and the undated one is a big one to knock out IMO. I am also trying to build up the Civil Guard part of my collection in general, but even with this 'new' rifle I still have quite a few hard ones to find. I'll try to get some more pictures when I get it, but I've been having camera trouble lately and also been pretty busy. I was really lucky to get this M28/30 (well I haven't got it quite yet, but it is paid for and my FFL is in the mail to the shop).Knuckledragger wrote:Not a big fan of the M39 bayonets (boring ), but I LOVE Puukkos!!!! A great bunch of Finns!! The Civil Guard is actually my collecting focus, so I'm especially interested...and impressed. Thank you for sharing with us.
