Some group pics of my 53-54-55 Romanian M44's, each one unique from the rest.
My 53 is a typical Romanian refurb'ed mix master with a scrubbed bolt and an ep'ed mag. housing, but how often do you get to own the #23 rifle produced of a 1st production run.
My 54 is a numbers matching rifle that looks like it was barely used, if at all ( seems a lot of 54's look this way)
My 55 is a mix master of Romanian & 02 parts and is well worn with almost no blueing left on it, but has the Bosnian Sheld stamp on the barrel.

I knew these would be coming out of the woodwork sooner or later.
I might just have to post mine up as well... Not often you get to see all 3 years together, the lowest production variant of the M44. I love the early 53!!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Wow! Three straight years and each and every one of them is a totally different looking rifle! Very nice and very intriguing to say the least! Thanks for sharing with us. Man it must rain M44's at your place. Bill

You should post yours in the showcase Ron, that 53 of yours is the only matching 53 I have ever seen.
