Re: Yugo girl

If what you say is true, you have a pretty good piece there. I'veseen very few true M48A examples out there. Even most retail dealers are calling them M48A and they are selling M48B. Just for kicks, who is the importer.?

Re: Yugo girl

Nice rifle. I can't blow the pic up enough on my phone, but it looks like a M48B. If there is a small rib on each side of the trigger guard, it's a stamped piece. I'm assuming the floor plate is stamped. If you remove the magwell/trigger guard you will be able to see better the stamped parts and wel...

SOG M48

SOG is my "go to" online retail store for picking up a few rifles here and there. Only one I trust. Every rifle in my collection is a Mosin. I decided I wanted to add one Mauser to the mix. I saw a nice selection of M48's on their site. I ordered one of the 1950-1952 M48's. The order was p...

Disassemble the bolt. If this was an ex Burns rifle, they are usually clean, but the bolt is packed with grease.

Re: RIP 7.62x54mmR

I have about 2500 rounds of 54r and 1100 rounds of 7. 62 Nagant. It looks like that will be all I need. Finally after years of pain, I went to a sports orthopedic surgeon. MRI on left shoulder shows 2 of the three tendons in rotator are severed, with atrophied muscles. Right shoulder shows significa...

Classic just dropped the bomb.

As predicted by many, Classic must first have sold off most of the common, low grade rifles. They now moved on to the good stuff, with new pricing.

Thats the best advice yet. With a rifle of that value, why even screw around with gun broker? List it in the for sale section.

Those have been running for a long time. Offered for sale by Sovereign Guns and Black Market Arms. I assume they both bought a large quantity of the last batch. Don't know if they are selling any or not.

Re: Stale popcorn . . . Part III Starts this Monday

Who knows what the agreement is. Maybe it's open ended. Why are they selling them in batches. Maybe the agreement is that they will keep buying batches as long as they feel they can sell them. Starting with the most common, and maybe moving up to desirable models. Who knows, maybe Bill and Pat are t...

Re: Break out the popcorn; it's Part II of the M39 Sale.

The newer C's are pretty much all wide body designs now, I bought mine to use as mobile storage, I got a very good deal on it as the last owner installed a new engine and a lot of other repairs to an Arizona clean body. It's small enough to still handle like a big van, but it will vibrate and sway ...

Re: Break out the popcorn; it's Part II of the M39 Sale.

The Dicor stuff works, I use it on both RV's, very easy to apply, the overhangs on every C leak sooner or later, it's a design fault. The one on my Tioga had to be disassembled and entirely rebuilt, it's the windows in the front overhang and the roof seal right above them, vibration causes leaks in...

Re: Break out the popcorn; it's Part II of the M39 Sale.

Nice class C, Shasta was able to stretch that to 27' and add the slide because Chevy started using frames in their van chassis in '97. Watch that frame for rust issues, they are known for it and as RV's sit a lot rust can sneak up fast. What's supporting that rear overhang? In my older class C they...
