Re: Show us your oldest firearm you own (not just Mosins!!)

Believe it or not, both happened to come from Dennis Kroh. I think I got the Finned M91 first. At another time, I got the email right when I was at my computer at work. Saw the 91/38 and jumped on it!

Congrats to Alden

You had a good Monday. Nice to see a sponsor get the support. I didn't need any more 91/30's, but nice selection at good prices, as usual.

300 Good reviews. Of course they are all from other batches of 91/30's, not this batch.

Re: Mosin Bolt broke from disassembly?

This might sound stupid, but do you have everything aligned properly and putting enough pressure on the pin so you are even reaching the threads?

Re: CMP

WA, NY, and NJ are the only 3 states that it must be delivered to FFL dealer. CA and CT have extra paperwork, but can still be delivered to C&R. As I understand their rules, any other state can go to C&R. Also, if you have a C&R, or are over 60, the marksmanship certificate is waived. I ...

Re: CMP

The magazine subscription alone is worth the yearly dues. They also sell, I think in 3 year volumes, bound books with back issues. I never could figure why anyone would pay 900-1200 dollars to a seller for one of these rifles when you can get one from CMP for either 630 or 730,with CMP paperwork in ...

Re: M48 Yugo Mauser

Very true. I figured on sticking with the Yugo M48 Series. The Mauser hobby in general is too expensive and requires years of study. I know the Yugos fairly well and feel comfortable in their price ranges. Who knows they may go up in value in the future, and if not they are still cool rifles.

Re: M48 Yugo Mauser

You got a good one. I'm on my phone, so can't see some of the markings you are asking about. BK is the military acceptance mark. Should be stamped all over, even the stock.
