Thanks I noticed the lead core is only available on the older ( 50's ) ammo, where as the newer ( 70's plus ) Steel core, Was just curious weather it was worth buying to older ammo. Jim

Hello All Have learned a lot about surplus ammo,but, What is the advantage of lead core fmj,and steel core fmj > I plan on soft point for hunting but as far as target shooting,which is better? Thanks Jim :attn:

I will post on the condition of my #53 when i get it. Listed in "good" cond. The 91/30 i bought from the same dealer was listed as "excellent" and it was, so hoping for the best. New here and trying to fiqure out the picture posting thing. Jim
