Re: 25' Tula Ex-Dragoon with a twist
Now THAT would be a great way to spend a Saturday. Watch for a recapture with a Finn SA stamp, I haven't found one yet. Plus the elusive 41 Tula. I've only ever lucked into one of those. VERY hard to find.

Re: Not exactly a Complete mosin
Nice. Could it be MI8? That is a mark so far only seen on Spanish Mosin stocks. Check out this auction that ended recently. It has some good pictures. Keep trying, they're out there! https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDetail.asp?ahid=3848&aid=52461&lid=13732492&rts=/asp/searchadvanced_i.asp...

Re: I hope this was one of you crooks
By the time I saw that, it had been sold, but I was able to sign on as basically 1st alternate in case the buyer backed out. I don't have one from that arsenal yet, it would have been a good first. If I'm not mistaken, i think that rifle may even have been a repost. It didn't sell the first time?

Re: stock
Jeremy, one thing that you may be confused about is that the laminated stock isn't wood covered in a laminate like a cheap WalMart bookshelf. In this case it means several flat pieces of birch, I'm guessing an 1/8th inch think in the case of mine, glued together in many layers to make up the entire ...

Re: My "new" M91
It had a chopped barrel, short bent bolt and was in a chopped, painted wartime 91/30 stock.

Re: Not exactly a Complete mosin
I really like the SCW rifles and have a couple. Are there any markings under the buttplate?

Re: My "new" M91
You bought it? Nice. I didn't get to look too closely at it but the serial number fonts looked matching at a glance. I like that kind of rifle...its been there, done that. My well used dragoon made it look almost 'minty'. :) I've only been collecting mosins for a little while. I haven't met too many...

Re: My "new" M91
Nope, I'm not voodooracer. I stick with Racerguy00 pretty much everywhere. He told me that he restored the Springfield for his own collection. Was the 43 Izhevesk 91/30 on the rack when you were there? That definitely had some character. His one boy mentioned the grandfather. I had my dragoon with m...

Re: My "new" M91
First off, hello all and especially to the OP from a fellow PA Mosin enthusiast. I haven't had a chance to browse the forum at all yet. I also have been to this seller's shop, are you the one that bought the one with the rope-hole stock before I got there? :) I was leery of buying a rifle there beca...
