A lot of reading and a friend has one. There are at least 2 or 3 versions of the 7.7 (.303) knil rifles. I have been not tempted by any.

Some are rough. The 7.7 is the .303. Depends on the price. A lot have poor chamberings and produce double shoulder brass. These were cut from dutch knil long rifles

just to add my 2cents... I agree with the assessment of Steve. I would not trade any of the mausers I have for a jap save maybe a type44. The japs trade much lower in my hood also (northwest). Much harder to procure mausers then Japanese especialy t99s. You might get a bite on some "cracked&quo...

It cratered the primers as can be seen in the foto. In my reloading wisdom and having been the one to shoot it have determined it was not pressure related but rather a loose pin hole in bolt face. There were no other pressure signs. I may do some more load tests to confirm but it is way far down the...
