Re: 30 yrs in, time to treat myself.

Picked it up today and am very pleased with it. It appears this particular rig was last issued to C-Troop, 6/8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division and still has dust and dirt on its bipod from its last deployment. 20220419_174921 (2).jpg 20220419_173011 (3).jpg 20220419_175041 (3).jpg 20220419_...

Re: 30 yrs in, time to treat myself.

Thanks guys, never figured on reaching 30, especially in my line of work where most guys change companies every 2-5 years. But it was a good fit for me and while they can still make me shake my head with some of there decisions they have always allowed me a nice standard of living.

So I decided to treat myself to something special, and Lynn agreed too. 😉

Re: Water Heater again.......

Said it before and I will say it again, you need an expansion tank on the water heater, the issues you have had points to an overpressure issue. As to testing the relief valve, the home inspector is wrong. Between being a plumber for 6 years and a commercial hvac tech for 35 P i can state this as ru...

Swedish M41 / AGA44

Been a while since I have found something to put into my collection, but yesterday I picked this Swedish M41 with an AGA44 scope. The AGA 44 was one of 2 scopes used on M41 snipers during WW2 as a replacement for what was originally to be on the rifle, the Ajack 4x42. From what I have read so far on...

Re: Plumbing Help.....

Mike, I would try flipping the handle on the top. If that doesn't fix it, go to Lowes and get you a T&P relief valve. Sometimes the valves are just factory defective. If the valve lifted off on temp, it is toast, turn down your thermostat(s) . If your thermostats are at a reasonable setting and...

Re: Plumbing Help.....

If the relief is blowning before you change it check the expansion tank, it might be bad/waterlogged. Most homes built in tbe past 25 years have been required to have these installed. Water heaters are nothing but a small boiler and even if your water pressure is normal when the fire they heat the w...

Ha, I actually managed to find a cached version of the page. Will attach it just for future reference, but from your points guys it’s clear that it’s a bubba. Btw are you guys going to SOS? Re: VKT sniper rifles - did they exist?

VKT SOV's / top mount PE or PEM scopes where built on 1942 VKT rifles. M39/43's, top mount Ajacks scopes, I believe are of the same time frame. If it is a pu scope set up it is a bubba.

Re: Did I step on a landmine? 1943 Tula refurb [PICS!!]

Ok I have finally got a good look at the rifle and I have no doubt this is an ex-sniper that was resnipered. The extra hole is odd as I can't explain why it was ever drilled where it is, and the installing of a screw, the incomplete job of making it flush, and then staking it just doesn't strike me ...
