This is one of the most incredible rifles I’ve seen. Very excellent!

Ruger Mark IV

I found this new Mark IV 10” Target model in my local shooting range/gun shop. I have been on the lookout for the 5.5” target bull barrel but after handling this one the balance is surprisingly nice. Now I just need to get back to the range and shoot it along with the 60 year older Standard Model Ru...

Re: Please help in trying to identify

Those are collector grade. Your dad was serious about his Finnish Mosin rifle collection I think. You should share a lot more of what you have. Full length pictures too. You might be surprised.

Yes I also wish you the best trying to find it. If you frequent local shooting ranges around the Clovis Ca area it would be good to post this on any bulletin boards you find on the off- chance it is still local. I’m sorry for the loss of your brother. Brothers are special

Re: I know it’s come up before but can someone explain parkerized m39s?

I wonder if that same gun shop that sold them is the one who had them both parkerized? Did they sell them at a premium? If they did then they are likely responsible for the paint job. The trigger guard housing is correct.

Yeah so he must have got naked and greased up the 57mm shell for some unknown reason? Something in this story was omitted I think[emoji28]

I am not familiar with these except seeing them online but it looks like a pistol that shoots and looks good.

Yep. 400.00 or too bad you can’t have it. By the way what is the rifle on the left? Why does the barrel look so long beyond the end of the stock? Was it re-stocked?

Re: Single action rimfires

Just getting back here boltaction. No I didn’t send it in for upgrade. I’m perfectly fine with the original 3 screw design. I have been buying some custom grips for my Rugers from a guy that runs a small grip business. Chigs Grips and I sure am happy with them. My latest are spalted dogwood that I p...

Charles "Chuck" Hankins 1945-2021 R.I.P.

Chuck was a good forum friend and Facebook friend as well. I communicated with him often through both. I guess I’ll never razz him again about owning a Marlin model 60 that he had owned for decades but never fired. [emoji3] He always took it in fun. Well Mr Bear, his stuffed full mount black bear th...

You got lucky on this one that you checked it when you did. It could have been unattended for a couple more years and been a different story

Re: Bad News...

I ordered 4 pounds of Olde Eynesford last week from Grafs. Gonna split it with my brother. It isn’t the end of black powder shooting in the US. It might be the end of US manufactured GOEX powder, there is still Swiss and German once the madness dies down. Someone just might buy the Goex company from...

I like it. Yes Chuck the velvet Elvis that was previously in the frame must have been a sight. I’d rather see the revolvers too. Great display you made

Re: New to forum and need help identifying my Mosin!

It looks like it may be long enough to be a model 1891, but with the front sight globe I’m not sure. It does still have the early rear sight. Where is the bolt?

Re: Taylor & Co. Uberti Gunfighter

It is in 45 Colt. Trailboss is what I like too. I have 3 bottles but all of a sudden it seems this to be hard to find again. If I get another is like a 7.5” barrel. I wouldn’t mind changing out the grip finish to a satin oil rub finish. I’ll be glad when these are more available again. Covid has had...

Taylor & Co. Uberti Gunfighter

Since I started collecting a few more black powder revolvers my revolver interest has grown to the point I could not stand it any longer and added a Peacemaker to my collection. This is the Taylor’s Gunfighter model, meaning that they put the larger grip frame on it from the standard 1860 Colt Army ...

Crap for a little over 500 I picked up my new Uberti Gunfighter today that really works. It would drop a sword wielding hadji a lot quicker too with the 45 Colt slug

This is a new produced “Classic 29” pictured. Isn’t that about the going price for these? Now a older model might bring a premium these days
