Re: Thought I'd share my 1928 M27 in Ski Trooper Stock

Very Nice Indeed! Also very early in the run! I have records of 22000 series being the earliest I have recorded and that is out of Doug Bowsers book. The earliest I have personally is in the 25000 series. Assuming my old eyes are seeing right you are in 11000 series! I am hoping that tang has a dat...

Re: 1938 Swiss K31 Purchase

A nice rifle and for sure a great shooter. Regrettably the stock has been heavily refurbished, probably it isn't the original stock at all. From the pictures it looks to be like beech wood to me, while a rifle of this manufacturing date should have a walnut stock. Here an English translation of the...

Not sure what he'll do when i find a job again :bonk: Probably refill his fridge :chuckles: No that will not happen you see I have it figured out I can eat much cheaper with fresher food if I eat nothing at home. About a year ago I took two large trash bags and totally emptied my Fridge and have do...

Re: Finnish M27 in strange cloths

Racer, Joe, buy him a camera for his birthday, he has one this year sometime, then teach him how to use it, don't leave until he has mastered this very simple device. Eat a lot while you are there and drink all his beer, that will add incentive to learn quickly before the grocery bill runs him into...

Re: Finnish M27 in strange cloths

Damn Bill you should write a book  Yeah there's a lot of mysteries here with this one, I hope we can find out something, but who knows like most of the stuff we have sorted from Kevin's we end up scratching our heads more after we do find out something about it. i'll get pics next trip, if race...

Re: Two nice M39's I just got

Take a break, buy a new digital camera and shoot some pics. It's 2016, cameras are very easy to use now, even the Old Man here who is 90 a few days ago can use one. Cameras aren't expensive anymore either. These from the collection of your friend Kevin who passed? Good haul both of you, M39's are n...

Re: SVT-40 got out of the safe

Two round burst? Not bad. It is easy to understand why a full auto SVT-40 be of limited use. At the cyclic rate that the bolt moves, and the recoil of a full-power rifle round, a ten round magazine could be gone before you could get your finger off the trigger. I hope this was a random event and tha...

Re: Thank you Alexander Yuschenko

Alex tracked mine for me, took 4 days to get to NY, spent a week bouncing around Brooklyn, now it went to NH. Why it needed to go to NH to get to WV I don't know, but it left NH yesterday, so maybe it will head south. USPS at its finest
