Yes they did. Those Finn rifles stamped P-26 or P-27 were re-lined.

The old girl still has it

I took the old girl out to the range today. She still bangs the gong at 200 meters with ease. Not bad for a 124 year old M91 rifle, albeit with a re-lined barrel from our Finnish friends. Her receiver is an 1894 Sestroretsk. https://imageshack.com/a/img924/9672/2Br22s.jpg https://imageshack.com/a/im...

My rarest is my currently only one. My Finnish P-26, serial number 6592. I’m gonna have to take pictures one of these days.

So, I made this little target this morning. What you are looking at is a red circle with a diameter of precisely 3.5 centimeters (1.38"). The standard for a PU sniper (presumably rifle and shooter) was 10 shots within this circle at 100 meters. The ammo you see is PPU 182gr. Match. I have not f...

Re: Cap and Ball revolver???

You have to clean them after firing. It is a must. The 1851 Navy in its original caliber of .36 is my all time favorite. Perfect balance and aesthetically perfect. I like the Remingon New Army also, very sturdy, great revolver. It was a .44.

So I can assume that even rearsenaled PEM snipers are extremely rare and very expensive?

This is my little home defense shotgun. It's a 1947 Winchester Model 24 12 gauge, with barrels cut down to 18 1/4". http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m533/Phatass56/IMG_2062_zpsk96lbc9m.jpg http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m533/Phatass56/IMG_2064_zpsd8mt9bss.jpg http://i1130.photobucket.co...

Having a condescending attitude and saying we need to have smaller words to understand what you are saying will for sure not make friends anywhere let alone on the internet anywhere. I am not a Doctor nor do I have any big degrees but I am sure many in this audience probably do but they are not on ...

It is just beyond me how one could purchase a rifle, get it home and THEN discover it had no sights.

Re: Where can I get a nice PU sniper?

There is a guy on Gun Broker selling an original. Sellers name is Roadrunner51. I have no affiliation. He apparently has several. Just so you guys know, they are not going cheap. Demand is quite high and so are prices. His last one went for $1,675. I paid $1,000 for my beautiful 1944 Rguns Tula orig...

Re: Mosin Sniper Accuracy...

In the Soviet Union, the 91/30 PU rifle was expected to shoot 10 shots into 3.5 cm (1.38") at 100m, 7.5 cm (2.96") at 200m, 18 cm (7.09") at 400m, and 35 cm (13.79") at 600m. So, if you get an original PU and it's still in reasonable condition, you should be able to get something...

Re: "american caputered" sniper

The mount could be one of those fakey aluminum mounts. Kinda looks like a casting. Is the mount steel or aluminum? The Soviets never made aluminum mounts, regardless of what anyone says.
