Re: Last minute buy of 2014

So, I got it the other day. It has been slightly bubba'd, but not as bad as it could have been. Overall a nice rifle, worthy of display. The stock is refinished, the metal all polished, unsure of the blueing, whether original or not. The bore is a tad rough, the lands are kinda hard to see at the mu...

Re: Czech one off my list

Update; Took it to the range New Years eve and ran the heck out of it using some PPU ammo. VERY accurate for a x39 gun, my most accurate so far. Ordered a different muzzle brake for it and a recoil reducing stock and polymer grip for it. The recoil is very mild, but I am trying to minimize as much r...

Well, a transmission for a 2002 Toyota Camry is probably easier to find than a M28. :D

Re: Last minute buy of 2014

Very nice! Do I spy the adjustable rear sight on there? Kind of hard to find it is! More pics are on order when you get it for sure and then the range report when you really get to enjoy it. Congrats! Bill The rear sight doesn't look adjustable. It has been shipped, so hopefully a couple days? Stoc...

Re: Vz2008 with a little package twist, updated!

I had been kinda wishing I had gotten the VZ58 over the VZ2008, but I got the 2008 at half the cost of the 58. Took the VZ2008 to the range New Years Eve, and easily the most accurate 7.62x39 rifle I have, and very pleasant to shoot as well. Glad I got the 2008 now. Great rifle.

Last minute buy of 2014

Wanted a M28 for a LONG time. Bought one 1 day before my transmission in my car died  A curse? Perhaps.
Pics are from seller, I am still waiting to get to my FFL

Westinghouse marking question

My Finn Westinghouse has a barrel band with a R NOT in a circle, but has an arrow coming out from it. R with an attached arrow. Is that a Westinghouse part? I see H's and E's and stuff, but no mention of R's as far as Westinghouse marks. I did check the 7.62 site and didn't see this marking and used...

I heard the Chinese were a little irritated when Obama asked to meet General Tso to compliment him on his chicken and ask for the recipe.

Re: Czech one off my list

Very nice! I really hate seeing these though 'cause every time I do, I want to get one for myself! One of the best values out there now. Sold by Century, my understanding they are subcontracted out to another builder. That could be why they are so good. I was also told by a local dealer Century has...

"So Sulu, I bought this Arisaka from some guy at a flea market on Rigel 3. It had some pansy flower on it I ground off, I stripped the finish and put a coating of Polytribenyl on, and opened up the bore so it can shoot these 9x57 Klingon rounds I found in my grandfather's basement. What do you ...

My new Russian Sniper arrived today

Always wanted one, never had the money. Now I have one. My troops are happy, as this weekend they will battle my son's platoon of storm troopers.

It looks like some of the other hits have some soot around them. Were you using API rounds by chance?

Re: M39 Feed Problem

Take the magazine out, and drop the floorplate. See if the rounds drop thru smoothly. I have had a M39 magazine that was squished together slightly causing rounds to bind feeding up. If the rounds hang up dropping down, take a rod or screwdriver and put a towel or cotton ball over the end to prevent...

Re: Czech one off my list

It wont take AK mags, but the mgs are about the same price as AK mags, lighter, and seem easier to lock in than AK mags.
