Re: Gun 'Slumming

I remember recovering these guns from various dirt balls that were being arrested and one guy trying to tell me that it wasn’t really a “real” gun so I couldn’t put a handgun charge on him. Mentioned that statement at trial and even his attorney smirked.

Re: Ruger 57

So you can only get more ammo if you are going to shoot it there (I take it there is a range at the LGS) ? Na local shop they have at last count about 2,000 rounds their splitting it up as fairly as they can. I.E if you buy a firearm chambered in 5.7 they'll sell you some for home otherwise range u...

I might get involved here. As a county employee, we get paid for the days that we work elections and I've also had friends who were polling precinct captains. We the people are the government -our democratic form of government would not exist if we did not have that core group of citizens who perfo...

That's the way to go. A couple of buddies and I reload so we buy in bulk and split the cost of the Haz Mat fee.

I'm going out on a limb here, but maybe the reason the pistol had such a great price was the ammunition availability issues. Good luck with it.

Re: Damned Sneaky...

I worked as an election judge this election. I was supposed to work at the Primary, but the classes for new judges were canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. At any rate where I live we were pretty organized, however in Baltimore City there were more than a few issues. Maryland sends out a sample b...

In the People's Republic of Marylandstan, we can get them in 6.5 Creedmoor, but not in 7.62 Nato . I just don't understand.

Re: what brand ammo do you shoot?

I will shoot what I can find but I reload just about every cf cartridge I shoot. I like Federal shotshells and just about any .22 but Remington. I have never had any luck with it. CCI Standard velocity is probably my favorite, I have some. Green Tag for a High Standard and Federal Auto match for a 1...

Re: Cabin fever set in yesterday

When son got married (11 years ago) a relative 0f SWMBO that could not make (way out of state, we sent the invitation as a notification rather than anything else) sent a clock that had been in the family forever. They sent a package to her parents home. When it was opened, my DIL's Mother said "...

2020 2021 Hunting Season

Is it going to be a bust or what? I belong to a goose hunting club that has been in existence for close to 50 years. Everybody plans their vacation time around the season. With the “virus “ and the range of ages of our members (18 to 82) and the reduced bag limit and actual hunting dates available, ...

Re: Navy Arms Zouave Musket

Navy Arms “Zouave” muskets were made in Italy and use standard 4 wing musket caps. I have a tin of “Dynamit Nobel” RWS Nr 1081 musket caps that were perfect for it. Dixie Gun Works is the place to go.
