Re: Enfield No2 Mk1

Very nice Enfield No.2 Mk1. I can.t remember what the one I had back in 1975 used as ammo. but I had the same problem finding any at all. I think the model I had was very close to .45 ACP and someone suggested I try the moon clips with .45 ACP. I did not do this but traded it for a real Colt .45 19...

Re: 1931 Finnish M27

How many M27's are still around? Compare to how many WWII M1's are still around. I agree, any M27 is a collectible M27.

It's good brass for reloading as well.

Oil cans

I collected until I had all known (to me) versions of the Romanian made. Then I stopped. Since then, I have sold my only Romanian MN, but I kept the oil cans. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/22/310a11da0fc6cb0aaef45b82ed4d2def.jpg "Self-realization. I was thinking of the immortal words ...

Re: For the Enfield lovers - my new No. 4 Mk. 2

My meaning was: take it to the range and treat it well. No buyer will believe that it is unfired anyway. You might as well, enjoy it. A few rounds will not significantly reduce the value. "Self-realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

It's already unwrapped and you'll never convince a buyer that it's unfired.

A bit delicate in the lock work, but good enough for the USN/Army for the better part of 2 decades. The caliber shortcomings was its downfall. 38 LC.

Correction: the top is the New Model Army (1896) dated to 1900. The bottom is the New Model Navy (1889) dated to 1891, upgraded to 1895 stats.

Educate me on The Colt: 1892, 1894, 1895, 1898, 1901, 1903,

I just closed a deal on 2 that I believe are civilian models. The top dates to 1895(very early in the year), so I assume it's a model 1894. The bottom dates to 1900, so I assume it's a model 1896. What changes were made between models? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415923696.323737.jpg ImageUploadedByTapa...
