Re: 1953 Romanian TT-33 Minus the Add-on Defective Safety

I had to fiddle with the safety on my Romanian as it too would be problematic. after a little trial & error with a file it flips on & off well & stays off when shooting.

Re: M39 modern scope mount no drill

Anyone ever heard of a "Darrell's Scope Mount"? Best ever made. Most of those others that just replace the leaf are jusk and don't hold zero well. Darryl (no relation to Darrell's! LOL I have one & it works well. Too bad they are no longer around. Mine resides on a previously boogered...

Hr 1808 has passed the House, but not the Senate. Would need 60 votes to pass the Senate... Not too likely. Details of the Bill listed below courtesy of Congress.gov https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/1808 H.R.1808 — 117th Congress (2021-2022) All Information (Except Text) There...

Re: 1936 Sako m28/30

Most wood breaks can be repaired if you have all of the material. That is the route that I would try first. I agree. Also, some pictures would help determine if this is feasible to repair. Finding a 28/30 stock is gonna be tough... And then there's the fact the donor rifle is gonna look weird witho...

Typical Finn mismatched parts with new barrel, sights & stock for the M39 Configuration. Nothing better, wouldn't change a thing! :vcool: :vcool:

Re: Help with 91/30 possibly finnish capture?

The Finns' were masters at taking a pile of spare parts and working them into a fantastic rifle. If the rifle was captured or acquired matters very little to me as it didn't mean a lot to them either. the job was to prepare rifles & or repurpose parts into rifles. And fine rifles they are. To me...

Re: Gunsmith for mosin trigger job in Houston Texas?

Nope. Wouldn't do it. One of my favorite Mosin's is my 1942 Izhevsk 91/30 with a heavy creepy trigger. By far the worst trigger I've tried in this platform. I ran over 300 rounds through it & I learned a lot with that trigger... Made me a much better shot overall. I love & appreciate that ri...

Re: Mosin bolt issue

From the RMNF Knowledge base , click the button at the top of the page, navigate to FAQ's, question five on that list. The board search doesn't seem to want to look for it, maybe we asked it too many times. OOOO size steel wool wrapped around that bore brush and coated with JB bore paste, mount it ...

The last transfer I had done, my guy just wanted the other guy's email, they took care of it. Cost me 25 for the transfer. They are quoting me $47.00 with the military discount for the transfer and 4377 call in...... We have an FFL finder on Gun-deals. It may have some that are no longer in busines...

I remember many moons ago when I got my first 3 Mosins'.... But watch out, they're like a bag of potato chips; You find it hard to stop after just a few.

Probably the most beautiful rifle stock on a milsurp I have ever seen.

$359 was a bargain. As they say; "You didn't pay too much for it, you just bought it early". :vcool:
