Re: M39 Straight stock database

203513 not PL marked This is the "straight Stock" database. Darryl Correct, 203513 resides in a straight stock. I stated not PL marked as it also falls into the PL serial number range. My apologies for the confusion. Of course if confusion is what you want then I also have a 1942 VKT 5369...

Thank you for the replies. Yes there doesn't seem to be an apples to apples comparison available

Re: Vepr 7.62x54r 16.5 inch value

Thank you. I am unable to find a current (available) rifle. I see a 20.5 inch but it is listed at $1799. I appreciate your answer.

Vepr 7.62x54r 16.5 inch value

I asked this on another forum and got a no more than $750 and another of $1,000 or more. Can anyone here help out with a value on a seemingly unfired VEPR in 7.62x54r? Before I do something dumb, or smart. Thanks for any answers/opinions.

Great, crisp markings. Beautiful rifle. I have an 1895 but didn't get the steal you did.

Re: Mosin Nagant problem

I recently had the same issue where the trigger pin was not installed with a rifle still packed in cosmoline. Open the bolt and while pulling the trigger with about 20 lbs of force or more see if you can sharply pull the bolt out.

1944 Tulas

I was wondering about a recent Tula M44 I picked up. There seems to be quite a bit more markings on the receiver than on my other two 1944 Tulas. This is my second M44 and I also have a 44 M38. Those two are fairly straightforward and didn't have much in the way of extra markings. Can anyone help wi...

Re: Tula M38

I looked them over quickly but wasn't prepared to take more than one. That splice and MO mark made me take note. I know there were no more Tula 38s I do also remember no 39 or 45 dates. I do think there were 1 or 2 with the pre war escutcheons and a few more with the wartime no escutcheon rear, line...

Re: Tula M38

Love the splice. Nice MO too. One other thing, the DDR stamp was debunked a while ago. Yeah I was looking quickly in poor lighting without my glasses. I don't know what many stampings are but was going by the 1 in a triangle. The triangle there is obviously the Izhevsk with a weak arrow. I am wonde...
