This rifle looks looks the Russian gold standard of fine carbines. It's amazing how well they do at auction.

Re: SKS Goes Away, T/C Comes to Stay

Josh how did the squirrel hunt go? I have always thought a smallbore 32 Kentucky Squirrel rifle would be a hoot. Here is my Renegade, with the double set triggers I don't even know what the trigger pull is but it has to be ounces. It is the ultimate hair trigger! http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/h...

pair of 45's~ Twins of a different mother

I have had the Ruger Old Army since sometime in 90 or 91? I don't know why a previous owner drilled holes in the hammer to skeletonize it. Perhaps to lighten it but why? Maybe he just liked it. It didn't stop me from giving him 225.00 for the revolver and a leather possibles bag with flask and acces...

Re: Persian Mauser Carbine

Jim it's easy to see how it could be your favorite shooter. That finish is just the way I like them. I'd like to see that fireball! The same Turk ammo is what broke my Hakim extractor. Definitely a 8mm round that is best suited for the bolt actions.

Nice. If only one Mauser was to be had I think the Argentine would be the one. Fortunately there are many others to be had.

Re: 1860 Colt Army 1863 Colt Navy

I do like Uberti products. I think I would enjoy taking a tour of their manufacturing facilities. Perhaps bring home a couple of their products from the gift shop. Wait, I dought they have such a gift shop.

Jim, I know you remember the 91/30 I won on Gunbroker without even noticing the SA mark. I love these guns. The look. Feel. The history. I love it all.

Re: K-31 or K-11?

From a collectible standpoint I like the k11 but as a shooter the k31 has improvements to the bolt and receiver that make them very durable. So the answer is simple. GET ALL 3. k11 rifle, k11 carbine, and k31! Although the k11 carbine and k31 are about the same length the k31 has a longer barrel.

Re: Enfield No.4 MK1*

Dolk that is a very nice one. I have 2 Enfields but I am currently looking at a nice jungle carbine. if I buy it then I'll need a No.5 stock as this one has been modified. The receiver, barrel, sights and all metal is real nice. I verified the lightening cuts too.

Re: Have a great Labor Day

Dang guys. I had to work today. Did a oil change. Installed a headlight bulb. Installed a door speaker. And diagnosed a broken power window regulator. Not a bad day though because I reached Kari's wife Gail and had a nice short chat. She is the most lovely person, and could sure use our prayers. She...
